A fast, responsive magazine website built around how KUBO publishes.
website developmentKUBO is an online lifestyle magazine for Filipinos living outside the Philippines, mainly Filipino Americans. It keeps readers connected to home through stories on culture, food, travel, people, property and opportunities. Dekada built the website and has looked after it ever since.

Explore & Experience, Culture & Hot Stuff, Living & Leisure and Homeland Opportunities.
sub-categories readers can browse, from Destinations to Business & Finance.
desktop, tablet and phone layouts for every story and section.
Dekada built the website and still maintains it today.
KUBO publishes a steady flow of stories across many topics, for readers spread across different countries, and it earns from advertisers who want to reach those readers. The website had to carry that volume clearly, feel like a magazine rather than a blog, and give every advertiser the right placement for their market.
“KUBO wanted to be an online home away from home for Filipinos abroad”
The website is the magazine. It has to showcase the stories beautifully, be easy to explore on a phone, and keep up with a team that publishes often.
We developed a fast, responsive magazine website: a featured-story slider, a Latest Stories row, and a block for each of the four channels with its own topic links and a Most Popular sidebar. Advertisers get banners in several sizes, each placed on the category pages that match their market, and sponsored stories written for clients can be pinned to the homepage slider.

Readers land on a featured-story slider, then the latest stories, then a block for each channel. Every block links straight to its topics, so it is easy to keep exploring.
Each client can run banners in different sizes, and every banner can target a specific category page. A property developer can appear only on Homeland Opportunities, while a beauty brand appears on Living & Leisure, so each ad reaches the readers it is meant for.
KUBO writes blog stories for its clients. These can be featured and pinned to the homepage main slider, so a client story stays at the top for as long as the campaign runs.
A newsletter signup with a country field helps KUBO grow and understand its readership abroad, and social links in the header and footer keep readers following between visits.
We mapped the channels, topics and story types with the KUBO team, and agreed how the homepage should guide readers.
We developed the magazine layout, story templates and the publishing setup the editors use every day.
We tested every template on phones, tablets and desktops, then took the website live.
We keep the website updated, secure and running smoothly, and handle changes and fixes as the magazine grows.
KUBO has a website that feels like a magazine, gives advertisers placements that reach the right readers, and has a dependable partner behind it.
Every channel and topic has a clear place, so readers abroad can keep exploring.
Targeted banners in several sizes and pinned sponsored stories give clients clear, visible placements.
Updates are handled promptly and issues are resolved quickly, as part of ongoing maintenance.
